PM to visit Chandpur Saturday, inaugurate multiple development projects

Prime Minister Tareq Rahman will visit Chandpur on Saturday for a day-long tour, during which he will inaugurate several development projects, distribute family cards among the public, and attend political programs.

The Prime Minister's Press Wing confirmed the visit on Friday.

According to sources at the Prime Minister's Office, the PM will inaugurate the re-excavation work of two important canals during the Saturday (May 16) visit. He is also scheduled to attend a special meeting to enhance the organizational strength of the district BNP.

The schedule of the Prime Minister's visit is as follows: On Saturday, at 8:30 am, Prime Minister Tareq Rahman will depart from Dhaka for Chandpur by road. En route, at 11:30 am, he will attend a roadside meeting at Lakshmipur Bazar ground in Barura, Comilla. At 12:30 pm, he will inaugurate the re-excavation of the Khordd canal at Waruk Bazar area in Tamta South Union, Shahrasti upazila, Chandpur.

In the afternoon, at 1:45 pm, the Prime Minister will attend the inauguration of the re-excavation of the Bishwa canal adjacent to Ghoser Hat in Kumaradugi village, Shah Mahmudpur Union, Chandpur Sadar upazila. After a brief rest at the Circuit House at 2:30 pm, he will distribute family cards at Chandpur Government College ground at 3:30 pm. At the end of the tour, he will attend an organizational meeting of the district BNP as the chief guest at Chandpur Club at 5:00 pm, and will depart for Dhaka by road at 6:30 pm.
